About this position:

Position reports to: Fleet Manager

Level: As per the GAFAE Collective Agreement

* In accordance with the GAFAE Collective Agreement

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Maintain the companys Maintenance Schedule in the Maintenance Information System (MIS) and the Maintenance Schedule Approval (MSA);
· Set-up of component time constraints in the MIS;
· Review and approve interchangeability of Aircraft parts;
· Provide recommendation for aircraft part upgrades to improve reliability and or reduce spares requirements;
· Incorporate Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) (or equivalent) revisions;
· Incorporate Design Approval Holders Instructions for Continuing Airworthiness (ICAs);
· Analyze and provide bridging instructions for newly acquired aircraft;
· Maintain the company Weight and Balance (W&B) Program in accordance with Process Manual Maintenance (PMM) section 2-06;
· Report accidents, incidents, or safety hazards through the Hazard Occurrence Incident Report (HOIR) system, and perform safety investigations as deemed necessary by the Director of Engineering;
· Comply with the Safety Management System (SMS) reporting program and adhere to the Corporate Safety Policy;
· Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent related work experience;
• Education in Aircraft Maintenance or Engineering Technologist;
• Education in Aircraft Maintenance Program philosophy;
• Three (3) years of previous experience;
• Understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations pertaining to aircraft Maintenance;
• Must demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to champion and lead change;
• Must demonstrate good communications written and verbal;
• Good working knowledge of Company Maintenance programs and Maintenance Control systems;
• Possess a strong working knowledge of computers with proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word and MS Access);
• Familiarity with existing company production software TRAX;
• Must be able to lead or work in teams and independently with minimum supervision;
• Ability to communicate in Inuktut a definite asset;
• Ability to obtain and retain an Airport Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.
