Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Production Planner 1 to join our team. This position will be supporting our Harness Manufacturing Work Center in Gilbert, AZ
This role would join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. Our domain provides rewarding work that contributes to the latest advancements being made in the space manufacturing industry.
The Production Planner 1 is responsible for a variety of processes. They work alongside various personnel to review demand planning systems to ensure needed materials are available in inventory and issued to the manufacturing team to support operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Working on one or more programs where applicable
- May work with 3rd party vendor to maintain inventory
- Creation and tracking/status of Manufacturing Orders
- Fulfilling part requests
- Attending all status meetings if/when needed
- Attending Safety, Quality, Delivery, Employee, Customer (SQDEC) meetings
- The use of various software programs including Costpoint, MES, Windchill, and TipQA
- Interfacing various personnel including Work Center Planners, Engineers, Schedulers, Technicians, Managers, Operations Team Supervisors, Quality Assurance Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineers, Technical Writers, Stock Room Personnel, Global Supply Chain Planners, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 0 - 2 years of related production control planning or scheduling experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Possess a high level of organizational and interpersonal skills
- Possess a high level of written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react quickly to people and situations
- Process needed documentation
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Must be detail oriented
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government DoD clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate degree or bachelor’s Degree in a related business or technical field
- Experience working in the Aerospace industry
- Self-directed, proactive
- Proficiency in Costpoint
- Production control planning and scheduling experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing, inventory, production, procurement, quality basics, and engineering floors.
Primary Level Salary Range: $39,500.00 - $63,500.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current spanet conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
