Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Quality Assurance Specialist, specializing in MH-60R & MH-60S Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) / O-Level Maintenance & Squadron Support located at Rota Spain.
The QA Specialist ensures all aircraft maintenance, repair, and modification activities comply with applicable technical data, safety regulations, and quality standards. This role involves performing inspections, audits, and reviews to maintain operational readiness and adherence to regulatory and organizational requirements.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years’ current or previous experience in a military quality assurance environment to include but not limited to:
- Experience in Quality Assurance/Improvement/Control, ISO-9001, and Safety & Environmental Compliance.
- At least 4 years of the 10 years, must include H-1/H-53/H-60 or equivalent rotary wing aircraft maintenance experience.
- Experience with the CNAFINST 4790.2series
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems (e.g., NALCOMIS, OOMA, ALIS, or equivalent).
- Extensive knowledge of MH-60R/S systems and maintenance procedures.
- Exceptional working knowledge of NAMP (COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2), DCMAINST 8210.1D, NALCOMIS/OOMA, and ASM.
- Must be able to ensure contract performance conforms to established standards and Government agency guidelines, guaranteeing lasting customer satisfaction by performing initial, in-progress and final quality technical inspections during maintenance, repair, modification, rework, and overhaul of aircraft, aircraft components, and component parts.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Pass a background check
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card or ROTA Base Access ID.
- Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one if required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and audits of aircraft, components, and maintenance processes to verify compliance with technical data and regulatory requirements.
- Review maintenance documentation, work orders, and repair actions for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify nonconformances and deviations and coordinate corrective actions.
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and program teams to ensure quality standards are met.
- Maintain accurate QA records, reports, and logs.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management policies.
- Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance personnel on QA processes and standards.
- Plan, execute, and oversee inspection and testing of product to confirm quality and conformance to specifications and deliverables
- Assist operations in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels as well as CSR, environmental, and health and safety goals/KPIs
- Analyze and investigate product complaints or reported quality issues to ensure resolution in accordance with company guidelines and external regulatory requirements
- Develop or update company procedures to ensure capture, investigation, and proper documentation of complaints
- Monitor risk-management procedures, and maintain problem logs for identifying and reporting issues to management and product development
- Provide training and support to quality assurance team that includes systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and manipulate 50lbs independently when needed.
- Ability to climb and stand on ladders when necessary.
- Must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
- Position involves long periods of standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling on aircraft structure and around aircraft for maintenance functions.
- Position may require use and/or exposure to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents.
- Position is located near or in a high noise area within an aircraft hangar / flightline environment.
- FIT for Duty Physical is required.
- May require DOT and Respiratory Physicals.
