Nickerson Talent Solutions is hiring Aircraft Mechanics (A&P Preferred) to support a high-profile A-4 Return-to-Service program in Mesa, AZ.
This role is ideal for mechanics with strong heavy maintenance, modification, and troubleshooting experience who want to be part of a structured MRO and restoration environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repair, modification, and inspection of aircraft and components
- Execute disassembly and reassembly for return-to-service operations
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical discrepancies across multiple aircraft systems
- Remove, install, rig, and function test flight controls and related systems
- Perform maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and fuel systems
- Support powerplant and APU maintenance, inspections, and functional checks
- Conduct landing gear removal, installation, and operational checks
- Identify and repair corrosion issues in accordance with approved data
- Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations, OEM instructions, and company standards
- Inspect and verify all parts for eligibility and certification prior to installation
- Maintain accurate and detailed maintenance records and documentation
- Perform both line and heavy maintenance activities as required
- Support independent inspections when authorized
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of aircraft maintenance experience
- Experience in heavy maintenance, MRO, modification, or return-to-service programs
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic capability across aircraft systems
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Preferred Qualifications
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field
- Experience supporting aircraft refurbishment or restoration programs
- Inspection Authorization (IA) a plus
- Military or civilian aircraft maintenance background

- Must follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements
