Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Evaluator & Estimator (E&E) specializing in MH-60R & MH-60S Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) / O-Level Maintenance & Squadron Support located at Rota Spain.
The Evaluator & Estimator (E&E) is responsible for assessing aircraft maintenance tasks, preparing labor and material cost estimates, and supporting program planning and budgeting. This role ensures accurate evaluation of technical work requirements and provides actionable insights to support operational and financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of current or previous experience in complex aviation operations related to Planned Maintenance Interval (PMI) programs.
This position is contingent upon contract award.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate maintenance tasks, technical data, and engineering documentation.
- Prepare detailed labor, material, and time estimates for maintenance, repair, and modification activities.
- Analyze historical data and apply standardized estimating methodologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and project management teams to verify requirements and assumptions.
- Identify potential cost-saving opportunities or efficiency improvements in maintenance processes.
- Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for management and customer review.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, assumptions, and evaluation results.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years’ current or previous experience evaluating major military aircraft inspections and or repairs to include but not limited to:
- Evaluation of aircraft items (e.g., airframe, power plant, accessories, equipment, equipage, etc.) under specified conditions to verify functional conformance to predetermined requirements IAW applicable directives.
- Evaluation of aircraft conditions to determine action required and provided aircraft condition evaluation reports.
- Ability to summarize, plan and estimate timeline, cost and manpower required to complete inspection/repair actions.
- Proficiency with maintenance tracking systems (e.g., NALCOMIS, OOMA, ALIS, or equivalent).
- Extensive knowledge of MH-60R/S systems and maintenance procedures.
- Exceptional working knowledge of NAMP (COMNAVAIRFORINST 4790.2) and NALCOMIS/OOMA.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and overtime as required.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Pass a background check
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card or ROTA Base Access ID.
- Active Secret security clearance, or the ability to obtain one if required.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and manipulate 50lbs independently when needed.
- Ability to climb and stand on ladders when necessary.
- Must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
- Position involves long periods of standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling on aircraft structure and around aircraft for maintenance functions.
- Position may require use and/or exposure to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents.
- Position is located near or in a high noise area within an aircraft hangar / flightline environment.
- FIT for Duty Physical is required.
- May require DOT and Respiratory Physicals.
