A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Engineer with Process Development experience to join the team with our prestigious client at their site in Barrow In Furness, this is a hybrid role onsite requirements are 2 days per fortnight

Job Description

To co-ordinate and execute process development activities and to provide guidance and advice in a consistent and professional manner, taking cognisance of timescales, regulatory, legal & contractual requirements, providing leadership where required.

Provide user support and advice to personnel on all process development activities with minimum supervision. Encourages innovation & continuous improvement, and able to challenge current process thinking where appropriate.

To assist/lead in the development, continuous improvement and roll out of processes, procedures and standards ensuring all interfaces with other areas are identified and embedded. To assist/lead in embedding agreed performance indicators/metrics for monitoring the effectiveness of processes.

To assist/lead in the implementation of agreed Plans for the development of processes.

To generate Compliance cross-reference/process maps which demonstrate how processes comply with requirements.

To utilise best practice methodologies, process framework models and processes e.g. Systems Engineering methodologies.

To ensure that processes comply with legal and contractual requirements. To mentor and aid development of junior members of the team offering support and advice where necessary.

To carry out internal validation/verification activities to ensure that requirements have been met and the expected outcome is delivered. Facilitate process development/mapping activities and workshops. To assist/lead in investigation/development activities within own function (e.g. value mapping) to continually improve working practices and procedures.

To provide reports etc in support of process development activities. To be able to access, have a clear understanding of and to apply the Quality and HS&E Management System documentation e.g. Process Instructions, Workmanship Standards etc. applicable to your particular scope of work and to adhere to all Quality & HS&E rules and control measures.

Recognising the RESTRICTED nature of the work, suitable candidates will be SC cleared or eligible for this level of clearance
