What to expect
We are offering a dynamic and rewarding five-year training and development programme, designed to launch your aviation career and prepare you for progression to become a Licensed Aircraft Technician. The combination of theoretical knowledge and on-the-job training will provide you with practical experience in the field and prepare you to take on responsibilities across all areas of aircraft maintenance, covering a range of aircraft types
What you will Achieve
- Enroll in an approved Aviation Maintenance training programme and complete the GCAA module examinations
- Gain practical on the job experience under supervision
- Obtain the CAT A license from GCAA
- Start working as a Technician and gain the necessary three years of experience to qualify for Aircraft Type Authorisation.
- Graduate with a Category A Aircraft Maintenance License, qualifying the licensed Aircraft Technician.
Accountabilities:
- Complete all Modules theory courses as per the training syllabus and Training programme requirements.
- Maintain an overall 80 pass rate of all Modules Exams in the stipulated times.
- Comply with performance requirements issued by Training Institute and the Company.
- Complete OJT within assigned timeline post theory qualification.
- Diligently execute and complete Schedule of Work (logbook) with the tasks assigned while performing in an organized Air Transport Association (ATA) chapters.
- Successfully attend and pass scheduled mandatory training in accordance with Etihad Airways Policy.
- Participate in the Technical staff competency Assessment and attending Technical Assessment whenever assigned.
- Ensure that all work performed at Etihad and completed in accordance with its processes and procedures is done in a safe manner.
- Carry out work in compliance with company, health and safety and airport procedures and regulations.
- Keep yourself updated on new Technical Notices, Quality Notices issued, general and technical information.
- Sign off own work after having completed a task that has been performed in accordance with approved data as assigned by Certifying Staff.
We are looking for candidates who:
- Are UAE nationals a valid family book
- Are between 18 and 29 years old
- Have a high school certificate or equivalent, including Maths/Physics/Science with a 60 overall score
- Have a strong command of the English language
- Have completed or been exempted from UAE National Service (for males)
- Have medical clearance
- Are willing to work shifts, including nights
- Are flexible about working outdoors
Compensation
Phase 1
- Training (Theoretical and On the Job Training) - 20 Months - AED 5,000 Stipend
Phase 2 (After successful completion of Phase 1)
- On-the-Job Experience and working as a Technician - Up to 24 Months - AED 20,400 plus Benefits
Phase 3 (After successful completion of Phase 2)
- On-the-Job Experience and working as Senior Technician – Up to 12 Months - AED 21,400 plus Benefits
Program Completion
- Working as a Senior Technician – 24,717 plus benefits
