Mercy Flight Central, Inc. (MFC) is seeking an A&P Helicopter Technician in Canandaigua, NY for our Part 135 Helicopter Air Ambulance Operation. You will need to be willing and able to read, interpret and follow the specific guidelines and instructions required by MFC and by aircraft and component manufacturers, the FAA and other regulatory agencies to properly inspect, repair and maintain our fleet of HAAO aircraft operated by MFC.
Essential Job functions and key responsibilities
These will include but are not limited to the following:

Perform or assist in general checks such as preflight and postflight inspections

Tow or manually push/pull aircraft and GSE with appropriate support equipment

Properly perform and document assigned maintenance and inspection tasks as required by MFC, the Director of Maintenance and in accordance with appropriate instructions and applicable FAA regulations

Remove, replace, rig and adjust components and assemblies with minimal assistance.

Assist in monitoring and coordinating maintenance and inspection activities with the DOM. - Be able to accurately work with basic mathematical concepts and be able to use conversion tables.

Ability to read and have basic understanding of interpreting system drawings, schematics, electronic diagrams and other similar technical materials

Help maintain shop tooling and GSE in appropriate serviceable and calibrated condition.

Will be required to work occasional overtime and requires being able to be placed in a rotating roster to respond promptly to aircraft maintenance needs while on call. This may require travel between facilities or to alternate aircraft locations.
