As an A&P Mechanic working on our Learjet Team, you will be responsible for using your sound judgment and technical aptitude to make decisions regarding maintenance, sequence, and techniques, troubleshooting and discrepancy resolution. You will perform operational checks and engine runs to ensure air-worthiness prior to departure, working with a team of specialized A&P Mechanics maintaining midsized corporate Bombardier Learjet aircraft.
What to expect in this role:
- Inspects aircraft in accordance with OEM Light or Heavy Maintenance Manuals
- Evaluates removed components for serviceability and documents discrepancies (squawks).
- Reinstalls and tests components after completed inspection.
- Troubleshoots and repairs all airframe systems as required (hydraulics, landing gear, etc.).
- Documents all work accomplished (aka sign-off) in a clear, concise and accurate manner.
- Accomplishes Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives as required.
- Reads and interprets maintenance manual procedures, blueprints, technical manuals, and schematic diagrams when required.
- Analyzes a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.
- Tests operation and repairs/adjusts, as required: engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and adjusts rigging as required.
- Checks and repairs fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling and pressurization systems.
- Utilizes mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges and calibration test equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
- Prior experience inspecting, repairing, and maintaining Bombardier Learjet aircraft.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an A&P Mechanic
- A valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) License.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years corporate aviation experience on Learjet.
- Factory authorized training on Learjet (CAE, Flight Safety, etc.).
- Experience working on Lear 60s, 31s and/or 45s
