Position Summary
* We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to perform maintenance, repair, and inspection of general aviation aircraft and associated systems.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality. Education and Qualifications(Required)
* Must have a High School Diploma or a GED; technical training or certifications preferred.
* Possess an FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification highly preferred (or ability to obtain).
* Must have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience in aviation maintenance working with CRJ’s (CRJ200 focus).
* Must possess a strong understanding of aircraft systems and maintenance protocols.
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
* Must possess strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
* Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
* Must have own tools. Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with general aviation aircraft (e.g., Cessna, Piper, and Beechcraft).
* Familiarity with FAA regulations and documentation requirements.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Key Responsibilities
* Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, engines, airframes, and avionics systems.
* Conduct thorough inspections in accordance with FAA regulations and Sherpa-Air procedures.
* Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and logs.
* Ensure all tools and equipment are used safely and maintained properly.
* Adhere to all company policies, FAA regulations, and industry best practices.
* Collaborate with other technicians, pilots, and management to ensure operational readiness. Work Environment
* Work is performed in hangars and outdoor ramp areas, subject to weather conditions
* May include occasional evenings or weekends depending on flight schedules and maintenance needs
