Job Description

The Quality Inspector will work collaboratively with the Quality Assurance Manager, General Manager, and production personnel to ensure that procedures and products meet internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements, while maintaining a culture of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with management of Repair Station Quality Systems Audits and In-Process Assessments to ensure compliance with internal, customer, and FAA regulatory standards.
  • Conduct non-conformance analysis and partake in corrective action plans, entering data into company software systems.
  • Meet with corporate quality representatives and company personnel to resolve quality issues.
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for the Quality Assurance Manager, highlighting non-conformities or other issues affecting quality and efficiency.
  • Ensure all technical data is current and well-organized, controlling accuracy in customer/process management programs.
  • Maintain routine equipment record-keeping and schedule services, testing, and validation in accordance with operating manuals and NSIT requirements.
  • Plan and schedule the inspection of parts and materials, developing methods and procedures for evaluating products and certifications.
  • Perform preliminary inspections, including recording incoming data, conducting balance, dimensional, and visual checks.
  • Conduct in-process inspections of repair jackets for material conformity and completeness.
  • Perform minor teardown or disassembly of parts.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency with hand tools and quality inspection processes.
  • Experience in quality management and/or AS9100 with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience in aviation/industrial sector inspection practices with a minimum of 2 years preferred.
  • Understanding of FAA Code of Federal Regulations for Repair Station 14 CRF Part 145 requirements preferred.
  • Experience in SMS systems, root cause analysis, corrective action, and change management principles is required.
  • Experience with composite structures or components is preferred.
  • Strong technical background to evaluate technical specifications and requirements.
  • Possess strong human relations, team-building skills, and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent analytical skills, independent decision-making, and professional judgment.
  • Proficient writing, communication, and presentation skills to develop clear and detailed plans.
  • Competency in Microsoft Excel and database management.
  • Fluent English reading and writing skills.

Work Environment

The role involves moderate physical activity, including handling objects up to 70 lbs and standing or walking for more than 4 hours per day. The work environment exposes employees to moderate levels of dust and noise.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Stockton, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
