Job Description:
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent
- 2 year + of consistent mechanical maintenance experience
Role and Responsibilities
- Disassemble landing gear using various manual tools
- Identify and tag parts
- Clean and blast parts using chemical cleaners, power washer and various media such as walnut shell, plastic, and baking soda
- Read and interpret component maintenance manuals (CMM’s)
- Document work performed
- Communicate and work with other departments
- Maintain an organized work space
Skills and Abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Multi-limb coordination
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Basic proficiency in computer literacy
- Basic blueprint reading
- Proficient in the English language; writing, reading and speaking
- Stand for extended periods of time
- Writing/reading comprehension
- Ability to recognize current or future problems
- Bend, twist, stretch or reach with body, arms and/or legs
- Manual dexterity
- Arm-hand steadiness
- Near vision
Other Position Requirements:
- Flexibility to work any shift as necessary when operational objectives require it
- This position is safety sensitive and is subject to DOT drug and alcohol regulations
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
