Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Export Control Manager - Second Level Controls (f/m) to join our Ethics & Compliance department based in Toulouse, France.

The Export Control Manager - Second Level Controls supports this commitment by ensuring the consistent implementation of the export control programme in Airbus entities and subsidiaries across the Group, while promoting a strong Export Control culture overall. This is ensured in particular through the design, deployment and follow-up of so-called Second Level Controls, which are a key element for testing and assessing that the Export Control Programme is working effectively while identifying areas for further continuous improvement.

Your challenges:The Export Control Manager - Second Level Controls is supporting the prevention, management and mitigation of Export Control risks, by controlling the deployment of Export Control policies, technology, training and processes within Airbus entities and subsidiaries worldwide, including by way of testing the effective implementation of corrective actions stemming from prior Voluntary Disclosures, and within the broader approach taken with respect to the Ethics and Compliance programme in Airbus.
This includes:
Performing site visits, transaction testing and assessing level of maturity of export control programmes and procedures in Airbus entities and subsidiaries;
Providing guidance, advising and aligning Export Control managers based in the One Roofs/Regions on the roll-out of Group policies, procedures and tools;
In coordination with the Group, Divisional Heads of Export Control, Divisional focal points for Subsidiaries, Corporate Investigation and Risk Assessment teams, contributing to the design and the implementation of a yearly plan for compliance testing (second-level control) of subsidiaries, giving priority to those that are most exposed to compliance risk; aligning and embedding this within the broader Ethic & Compliance “Fit Check” plan.
Supporting the development and follow up on remediation action plans to close any gaps found in export control programme implementation;
Supporting the continuous work to update Airbus’ compliance policies in response to control findings or new risks unveiled.
And more generally, executing any other functions delegated by the HO E&C Second Level Controls.
This role will involve frequent travels for business and as such the Export Control Manager must be able to travel accordingly.
Your boarding pass:At least 4 years of experience working in Export Control with a practical experience of ITAR and EAR (Classification, Licensing, TCPs, VD & VSD, …) and/or other national export control jurisdictions;
At least 4 years of experience working in a multinational, industrial environment, with experience in testing and evaluating the implementation of internal controls cross-functionally within subsidiaries;
Ability to manage key stakeholders in a fast-paced and demanding environment;
Excellent writing and analytical skills required to draft clear reports and recommendations;
Capacity to significantly evolve in key leadership and communication skills to build trustful relationships with key stakeholders and subsidiaries;
Ability to multitask and prioritize;
Fluent in English; understanding of French, German or Spanish is a plus.
