Job Purpose
The Global Accounts Manager (GAM) executes the EK Commercial strategic priority ‘Corporate Growth’ under the pillar, ‘Maximise Revenue’. The role is responsible for the identification, acquisition, implementation, development, and retention of a portfolio global corporate accounts / industry segments / regional source spanets, and managing a portfolio of projects, as allocated by the Manager B2B Client Portfolio (Global Corporates).
Act as a Corporate Sales Ambassador for EK commercial regions, attending forecast, flop and new route planning meetings, and other regional forums.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for negotiating global corporate deals on behalf of Emirates, with respect to revenue and spanet share targets, capitalizing on EK Global footprint and customer experience.
- Responsible for account management across the full sales cycle; identification, acquisition, implementation, development and retention for a portfolio of accounts, for all points-of-sale/origin.
- Engage and regularly meet with local sales teams, as the primary point of contact for any local or global corporate sales policy matters, actively providing expert insight into trends in the respective spanet(s).
- Create business plans for individual portfolios to achieve portfolio objectives / KPIs in terms of revenue growth / target, premium mix & yield protection, geographical mix, retention, PRISM spanet share etc.
- Build strong business cases for pricing proposals, with effective use of data to enhance RFP proposal competitiveness, adding relevant value adds & soft benefits while considering COS and ROI measures.
- Capitalise on the network growth and expansion through airline partnerships to identify new business opportunities from existing accounts and enhancing deals to help maximize & secure EK fair share.
- Maximise revenue from existing clients by upselling and cross-selling additional services and products (i.e. Marine, MICE, Ancillary, Leisure CUGO etc.) to help secure and extract incremental values.
- Identify new business leads in line with the agreed business priorities and growth strategies, hunting for and converting / winning new accounts.
- Support outstation countries / regions as a regional lead, providing guidance and solutions to effectively manage concerns and challenges with accounts, creating plans with corrective actions
- Provide periodic reporting and business updates to Global Sales teams and local commercial management, utilising analytics tools to track and measure performance and spanet intelligence insights.
Qualification
- Degree in commercial disciplines with emphasis on economics, transportation, sales, spaneting, business management and related studies.
- 5+ years Commercial Sales, including 3 years of corporate account management
- Experience in the airline or TMC industry, of which a minimum of 5 years have been spent in a sales or account management position. Specific experience of the sales environment of the airline industry, understanding of the Internet, Direct Sales, key accounts & Marketing and process development.
- Strong negotiator with analytical skills with demonstrated capacity to gain loyalty from our clients
- Strong people leadership skills preferably in a multi-cultural environment.
- Experience in cross-functional project management and systems implementation would be an asset.
- Advanced PC skills and superior commend of the English language, both written and verbal, with equivalent drafting abilities and proven ability to produce analytical reports of high quality. It is specifically required to a native fluency standard for outstation staff covering spanet(s) where English is not the first language.
