Ensure the proper Required Inspection Item (RII) procedures are adhered to
Research equipment and tooling required for any specified inspections to ensure all equipment and materials will be available to accomplish the inspection task
Monitor test equipment and specialized tooling used in the performance of required inspections to ensure calibrations and certifications are current at all times
Coordinate any inspection functions with Maintenance Planning to ensure the contractual requirements are performed in a timely and coordinated fashion
Assign and monitor inspection personnel in the completion of all inspection activities
Control and issue in coordination with the Manager of Production Control and Planning all routine inspection job cards
Audit of the work package master tally sheets (NSA-MF-59) prior to the issuance of a maintenance release for the aircraft or component which has undergone maintenance or inspection functions at the Repair Station
Conduct the preliminary, hidden damage, in-process, and final inspection of all articles processed by the Repair Station and record results as outlined in the RSM-QCM
Understand and apply the chapters and sections of the RSM-QCM that are applicable to his or her position
Provide for continuity of inspection responsibility, assuring completion of required inspections when personnel shift, or assignment changes occur
Completes NSA-MF-22 shift turnover form or customer required equivalent
Perform all other responsibilities of an Inspector classification
Perform additional duties as assigned.
A&P certificate
Three years documented/verifiable maintenance experience on transport category aircraft
