About the Role
Provide Leadership and Manage the QAS HUB live operations on a day to day basis, within agreed standard agreements. Lead and Manage QAS Landside and Airside operations departments, ensuring compliance of QAS Terminal Duty Managers, QAS Airside Duty Managers, and QAS Control Centre Controllers are meeting Service Level Agreement, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in deployment of QAS resources to meet the requirement for handling all services and operations being the focal point for all internal external stake holders.
Operational
- Identify and develop operational plans to improve airside and landside performance and encourage innovative resolutions to ensure effective ground handling practices.
- He/ She will be Focal point of contact between QAS Management, Airport Authorities, HUB airline, agencies and QAS customer airlines for handling exceptional situations ensuring safe, on-time performance of all aspects of services in operations, efficient and effective delivery of ground handling operations.
- Analyze, provide solutions and improvements on process for delays at HIA and ensure that a transparent communication and decision making process is achieved between HIA, QAS, and QR Ground Services.
- Carry out and implement the airside and landside live resource management strategic plans. Analyze and understand the live resource management strengths, weakness, opportunities and threats in order to accurately plan and adapt the operational live resource allocation and implementation based on the realtime environment.
- Conduct daily briefing to QAS Management and perform shift briefing to QAS departments Duty Managers in the work shift in order to ensure the team is aligned with the priorities and tasks for the day.
- Investigate, conclude, recommend corrective actions and report operational incident(s) and/or accident(s), in instances of service lapse in order to ensure that safety and security of operations and resources remain the highest priority.
- Perform safety and security spot-check on QAS manpower, equipment and facilities utilized by QAS for daily operations.
- Constantly review the operation, utilize the operational experience and real-time information in order to assess the situation, prioritize, make informed decisions and escalate where appropriate.
- Ensure QAS Operations Control Centre, Terminal and Airside Duty Managers, Service Delivery, Load control, Turnaround coordinators daily objectives and priorities are aligned and support the business objectives.
- Ensure, proactively and during real-time operations, smooth and uninterrupted flow of passengers, baggage and airside activities.
- Regularly provide relevant and accurate information to Head of Department in order to allow evaluation of objectives, plans, procedures and practices, also assist in implementing appropriate changes.
- Implement best practice to resource management through accurate and detailed forecasting, planning and allocation in order to deliver operational excellence.
- Participate in creating QAS Operation Control Centre that can respond effectively to situations in a real time environment.
- Research on the root cause(s) of incident(s), accident(s) and service lapse(s), develop select and Implement the solution(s) to ensure continuous improvement. Review Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) on a regular basis and adopt necessary changes for smooth operations.
- Introduce operational process, procedures and controls, communicate clearly and concisely standards, accountabilities and responsibilities to the team.
- Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department

Qualifications
About you
- High School Qualification with minimum 7 years of job-related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent with minimum 6 years of job-related experience
- Experience in Leading and/or managing extensive ground handling operations/ operations control centre management or airside / ramp operations.
- Command of English language
- Expert knowledge of ground handling operational procedures.
- Must possess a strong mentoring and coaching skills, decisive and collaborative leadership style.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of integrity, equality and respect.
- Ability to effectively communicate with clear, concise and consistent messages.
- Result oriented, can deliver innovative execution at pace.
- Strength in learning and development, mentoring and coaching skills.
- Acts with a controlled, consistent and considered sense of urgency. Handling of airport emergencies.
- Expertise on conflict resolution between internal external stakeholders.
- Analyze and understand the live resource management strengths, weakness opportunity and threats for HUB Operation.
- Expertise on different Precision time schedules of customer aircrafts and familiar with all aircraft turnaround functions.
- Positive Team approach and Strong decisive leadership style who can work collaboratively and effectively with multiple stakeholders.
- Good in-depth clarity of dynamic airport operations and system interfaces of HUB airports stakeholders.
- Understanding of ATC operations and procedures.
- Understanding of ACDM goals, principles and processes.
- Understanding of ground handling and passenger services operations / terminal flows.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinates skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members.
Preferred
- Experience in live allocation and resource management.
- Experience in Operational engagements standards, resource management forecasting and planning.
