Project Manager UK Defence
Location: Barrow-In-Furness
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Travel Requirements: Minimal
Perm FTC 2 Years Minimum (most likely to be extended) / Up to 55k per annum + extra 650 per month if live out of area.
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a background in engineering or manufacturing? This is your opportunity to lead the delivery of complex, long-duration projects within the UK Defence sector.
In this role, you’ll take full ownership of project execution — managing scope, budget, schedule, and stakeholder engagement — while working with cross-functional teams across engineering, operations, and finance.
What You’ll Do:

Lead end-to-end project delivery to meet contractual, technical, and financial goals

Ensure risk, issue, and change management is handled effectively

Act as the main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders

Drive project performance monitoring and reporting

Collaborate across departments to deliver project milestones on time and on budget
What We’re Looking For:

Solid experience in project management (ideally within engineering or manufacturing environments)

Formal Project Management qualifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP) desirable

Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially MS Project, Excel, Teams); SAP experience is a bonus
