We are seeking a strategic, hands-on Specialist to join our Controllership team, supporting the Airport Customer Service (ACS) and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) portfolios. This role goes beyond traditional accounting—it’s an opportunity to become a trusted business partner at the intersection of finance and operations.As a key contributor, you’ll help drive performance, innovation, and process improvement across one of Delta’s most customer-facing divisions. You’ll gain a deep understanding of the fiscal lifecycle at Delta, while shaping financial strategy and supporting high-impact initiatives across ACS and potentially other business units.What you’ll do: Lead Close activities and manage reporting for ACS stations and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) portfoliosPartner with Operations Finance, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Financial Reporting to ensure accuracy and alignmentOwn variance analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and Blackline portfolio managementDrive process improvement and automation, applying Lean principles to streamline workflowsBuild and maintain KPI tracking systems that support strategic decision-making

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) At least 3 years of relevant work experienceStrong knowledge of accounting principles and proceduresUnderstanding of general ledger functions, P&L structure, month-end close activities, variance reporting, risk identification and mitigation, and account reconciliationsPossesses clear and effective communication skills. Capable of working in ambiguity and connecting work to department goals to draw meaningful conclusionsPrepares effective materials to present findings and recommendationsEstablishes cross-divisional working relationships; understands and demonstrates importance of working as a team to accomplish goalsExpertly deals with data ambiguity, leveraging technology to solve problems and improve upon established processesStrong Excel, PowerPoint, Hana, SV, data visualization, and analytical tool skillsPossesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalencyConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
