Repair Station Accountable Manager (Full Time)

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for the day to day operation of Piper’s FAR 145 Certified Repair Station, including scheduling aircraft maintenance activities, supervising technicians and interacting with customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
•Responsible for the scheduling of all Repair Station aircraft maintenance activity.
•Responsible for supervising all maintenance and verifying its proper completion, as well as the completion of corresponding work.
•Responsible for ensuring that all work conforms to applicable manufacturer’s specifications, acceptable maintenance practices and FAA requirements.
•Responsible for completing and providing associated log book entries as required.
•Responsible for the organization and calibration of all shop tools.
•Perform hands on maintenance as needed.
•Interface directly with customers concerning maintenance issues.
•Foster and maintain a working relationship with the FAA as it relates to the operation of the Repair Station.
•Responsible for updating the Repair Station Manual as required.
•Interface directly with other departments, within the Company, as required ensuring timely delivery of aircraft.
•Accomplish/coordinate training for Repair Station employees.
•Ensure required parts are available when required
•Perform housekeeping chores as department requirements dictate.
•Attend training as required.
•Perform other related duties as required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job requires the direct supervision of multiple Repair Station employees.
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED), and 10 years experience in general aviation maintenance with at least 5 years in a supervisory role. Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P) required. Inspection Authorization (IA) preferred. Thorough knowledge of and working understanding of the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR’s) and Part 145 Repair Station operations.
Thorough knowledge of fundamentals of aircraft mechanics and working knowledge of Windows based computers and programs are necessary to perform the duties in this position.
