Role IntroductionReporting to: Portfolio Solution Manager
Join Cathay as Solution Lead, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality IT products and applications, bridging business needs with innovative technology solutions. Partnering with stakeholders, and solution analysts, you will drive design, implementation, and operational excellence across software development, system analysis, and solution delivery. This hands-on leadership role balances technical depth with collaboration, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable outcomes. Airline or travel industry knowledge is an advantage, offering you the chance to contribute to mission-critical systems in a dynamic global environment.
Key Responsibilities- Support business stakeholder adoption of insights-driven decision making and analytics-enabled business process innovation.
- Engage with business stakeholders to capture requirements, challenges, and opportunities.
- Provide pre-project consulting and recommend viable solutions to improve performance.
- Collaborate with developers, analysts, and architects to design and implement IT solutions.
- Plan, develop, and support applications that meet customer needs and enterprise standards.
- Act as an escalation point for Solution Analysts and ensure effective delivery.
- Oversee application maintenance and drive continuous improvement across the lifecycle.
- Lead small to medium-scale initiatives, managing tasks, testing, and project progress.
- Coordinate software development teams and external vendors to ensure delivery success.
- Contribute to resource planning, team coaching, and mentoring of solution analysts.
- Design and deliver AI-driven solutions, including Generative AI, chatbots, knowledge management, intelligent document processing, and automation use cases.
- Build best practices for usage of data visualization tools and techniques; as well as for data presentation and sharing across multiple departments
- Govern the data visualization standards and usage are being maintained and implemented.
Requirements- Degree in Information Technology or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 8+ years of IT experience across software development, system analysis, business analysis, solution definition, and testing.
- Strong software development skills, with troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise.
- Experience in data blending, data analytics and visualization tools, preferably AWS SMUS, Tableau, QlikSense, PowerBI.
- Experience with AI Agents, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Prompt Engineering.
- Strong understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Lake concepts and competence in SQL, preferably Redshift.
- Proven ability to define solutions and support system/application delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, able to present to diverse stakeholders.
