Type: Contract – until 27/10/2026 (with potential extension)
Clearance: BPSS required
Pay Rates: 26.92 per hour PAYE / 36.00 per hour Umbrella
Shift Pattern: Double Day Shift (20 uplift on rate)

Mornings: 06:00 – 13:10 (Mon–Fri)

Afternoons: 13:30 – 20:40 (Mon–Fri)

Overtime: Paid after 35 hours at premium rates (25 Mon–Fri, 50 Sat–Sun)
Morson is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer on behalf of our aerospace client, to join their Manufacturing Engineering team based in Broughton. This is an exciting opportunity to provide hands-on support to a fast-paced production environment, working directly at the heart of aircraft manufacturing.
The Role
As part of the lineside support team, you will play a key role in:

Leading continuous improvement initiatives to drive efficiency and reduce cycle times.

Identifying, analysing and resolving recurring technical issues not directly manageable by production staff.

Supporting production teams at shop floor level, ensuring adherence to industrial excellence targets.

Managing technical matters such as missing parts, non-conformities, concessions, maintenance, and jigs & tools.

Performing work order management for out-of-cycle tasks and escalating issues to specialist support functions when required.

Anticipating capacity fluctuations and contributing to workforce competence development.
Requirements

Background in Manufacturing Engineering (aerospace preferred, but other large-scale global manufacturing sectors considered).

Desirable: NVQ L4 / HNC or equivalent.

Previous experience in a technical role using CATIA & SAP would be an advantage.

Understanding of aircraft build philosophy.

Strong communication and organisational skills, with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
