Quality Engineer

Onsite in Chandler, AZ

Target salary range: $65,100 - $120,900.00

A Quality Engineer job in Chandler, Arizona, is available with Moseley Technical Services, a Top Defense Company. In this full-time, direct-hire, salaried job, you will plan, direct, and coordinate all quality activities to assure optimum quality in products manufactured and assembled while driving continuous process improvement in the manufacturing process.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate quality activities by working with design engineers, manufacturing, planning, and other disciplines to ensure the quality of the product.
• Attend and participate in daily management meetings alongside program support teams.
• Support Supplier Development Engineering when vendor hardware discrepancies are discovered.
• Analyze work instructions and procedures for errors and potential failure points.
• Inspect and review quality paperwork for completeness and correctness.
• Investigate internal and external quality concerns, lead cross-functional teams to determine root cause, and implement permanent corrective actions.
• Interface with the customers to complete the delivery order, including presentation of data packages and FAI’s
• Find innovative ways to improve quality through new process controls and ensure sustainment following successful implementation.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to pass an ATF Background check
• Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace/defense
• Training and demonstrated competency with APQP tools (i.e., D/PFMEA, Control Plans, PPAP).
• Auditing experience, including support of internal, customer, or registrar audits.
• Must have strong data analysis skills, including the ability to present the data in reports to support investigation conclusions.
• Candidate must be proficient in Word, Excel, and statistical software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Electronics or Ordnance and use of energetic materials, powders/propellants is a strong plus.
• Experience with lean manufacturing, including Six-Sigma or ASQ certification, is a strong plus.
