Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Experienced Lean Practitioner - Process Improvement (Level 4) to join the 787 Program Team in North Charleston, South Carolina on Variable Shift! This position requires domestic travel up to 20 of the time.
In this role you will be responsible for leading, coaching, and teaching employees to solve problems across the production system and mature knowledge and application of lean tools and practices at the team or factory level, and also across the entire 787 value stream.
Position Responsibilities:
Instructs others in continuous improvement tools and principles
Assists in formatting updated training materials
Leads and facilitates (Lean tool certified) process improvement efforts
Supports advanced continuous improvement tool application
Participates in strategy development
Conducts Beta tests on new tools
Required to be available to attend 2nd and 3rd shifts based on the business need for periodic observations
Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job

Basic Qualifications:
Ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift, when required by the business
Ability to travel domestically up to 20 of the time
4+ years of experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
5+ years of experience with project management techniques
5+ years of experience in implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies in a manufacturing environment
5+ years of experience working in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience working with diverse Leadership Teams
5+ years of experience in using standard lean tools
5+ years of experience leading and facilitating Kaizen or other Lean improvement workshops
5+ years of experience Leading and facilitating complex process improvement efforts
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university

Summary Pay Range: $100,300 - $135,700
