Tasks

As the People Business Partner, you will take on a diverse set of responsibilities, such as:

  • Serve as the key People Business partner for both Calgary and Montreal, ensuring consistent implementation of policies, programs, and employee relations practices
  • Support regional growth
  • Lead recruitment & development efforts
  • Manage employee onboarding
  • Implement programs and policies
  • Partner with Health & Safety
  • Guarantee that programs, policies, and communications comply with provincial legislation and that content is provided in French as required
  • Foster a Unified Culture
  • Boost Cultural Morale & Wellness
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, communications, and workshops to support leadership teams, employee engagement, and program rollouts
  • General HR support

Requirements

To thrive in this role, we value a combination of the following requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field; 5 to 7 years of progressive HR experience in a multi-site environment
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • At least 4 years of relevant professional senior HR Consultancy experience in Canada required
  • Regional experience desired
  • Experience in dealing with Senior Management on VP level and above required
  • Fluency in English and French (spoken and written) required
  • Strong understanding of Alberta and Quebec employment legislation, including compliance requirements
  • Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Skype for Business as expert
  • Willingness to travel (25 of the year)
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Manage high stress levels
  • Must possess a legal work permit in Canada
