Morson Talent are recruiting for a Tool Custodian to join a leading aerospace organisation at Brize Norton.
Pay: 23.84 Umbrella / 17.82 PAYE
Location: RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire
Shift Pattern: 5-5-4, 12-hour shifts including nights
The Role
As Tool Custodian, you will be responsible for ensuring all tooling and equipment is fully accounted for, controlled, and maintained to support Part 145 Line Maintenance and Workshop activities. You will play a key role in ensuring serviceability, calibration, and compliance of all tooling assets, enabling safe and effective aircraft maintenance operations.
Key Responsibilities
Control, manage and account for all tooling and equipment in the Tool Store
Use the TCMax system to issue, return, and track tooling, performing 100 content checks
Carry out full inventory checks and complete required governance paperwork
Ensure tools and equipment are clean, serviceable, and consumables replenished on return
Manage multi-item kits, sealing with tags when accepted
Quarantine and mark all unserviceable or out-of-calibration items
Maintain security and access control to the bonded tool store
Report any abnormalities for immediate investigation
Ensure tools are cleared on TCMax before aircraft release
Technical Knowledge & Skills
Experience in engineering support or customer service within aerospace or similar industry
Strong commercial awareness and ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
Fluent written and spoken English, including technical terminology
Effective communicator with strong attention to detail
Ability to influence and maintain trusted relationships at all levels
Reliable, systematic, and proactive approach with a focus on continuous improvement
