Job Description:
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or an equivalent
- Proficient in the English language
- Flexibility to work any shift as necessary to meet deadlines
- Must successfully pass a FIT respirator test during indoctrination training and annually thereafter
- This position is safety sensitive and is subject to DOT drug and alcohol regulations
- Must successfully complete a comprehensive background check prior to hiring
Role and Responsibilities:
- Measure and mask with tape the specified areas of parts to be excluded from paint and primer
- Clean parts in preparation for primer using wire brushes, cleaning solutions, degreasers, wet hone and media blast.
- Transfer parts using hand pushed carts
- Operate commercial ovens to bake coatings
- Use proper personal protective equipment when applicable
- Maintain work records
- Follow prescribed safety regulations while maintaining the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- Coordinate with management and inspectors to ensure compliance with FAA regulations and internal quality standards
- May assist in plating and sub-assembly as needed with masking and sealing
- Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
Skills and Abilities:
- Attention to detail is imperative
- Must be able to follow written instructions
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic math skills equivalent to 8th grade arithmetic
- Computer literate
- Team oriented
