Role IntroductionReports to : Area Cargo Manager
To enable revenue growth and commercial performance by providing high-quality, responsive sales support to both Global and Local Freight Forwarders. The role is a key enabler of digital transformation, process change, and data-led decision-making, ensuring Cathay Cargo remains a preferred, efficient, and reliable partner.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary sales support interface for global and local freight forwarders, ensuring accurate and timely execution of bookings, quotations, and enquiries.
- Support revenue, yield, and load factor optimisation by assisting account management teams and monitoring flight performance trends.
- Review forecasts with key forwarders and align booking activity with capacity and commercial priorities.
- Manage cargo bookings, load planning, and daily reporting, including tracking uplift, no-shows, and revenue performance.
- Coordinate operational requirements such as unit load device (ULD) planning, dry ice calculations, and special cargo handling arrangements.
- Promote and support Cathay Cargo products, including temperature-controlled, express, and other value-added services.
- Resolve shipment discrepancies, including electronic air waybill (eAWB) errors, billing issues, post-departure adjustments, and destination-related queries.
- Analyse data and apply insights to improve forwarder engagement, pricing discipline, and capacity utilisation.
- Drive adoption of digital tools and support process improvements and change initiatives across stakeholders.
- Act as deputy to the Cargo Sales Support Assistant Manager when required, ensuring operational continuity and supporting decision-making.
RequirementsAcademic Qualifications
• University degree (or tertiary equivalent) in a related discipline
• Additional certification or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or aviation sales is preferred
Knowledge, Skills, Training and Experience
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in airline, freight forwarding, logistics, or a related industry, covering sales or customer service.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, along with good soft skills.
• Demonstrated customer service orientation with a proactive and solution-focused approach.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in indoor sales execution.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
