It’s essential that the successful candidate possesses consultative sales experience with a proven track record of selling to and maintaining relationships with the travel trade, preferably in the airline industry. Responsibilities:
Deliver incremental agency revenue for Air Canada in Hong Kong, and exceed Air Canada’s fair spanet share in the agency channel. Design agency fare products and manage fare utilization in the light of spanet intelligence to support Air Canada’s overall commercial objectives.Fund out Future: Design, negotiate and manage the ongoing performance of agency incentive schemes, exceeding revenue targets within cost of sales budgets.Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of agency incentive schemes, including Finance, Sales Planning, Legal and Tax.Roll out ‘fit-for-purpose’ tactical incentives in response to an agile and rapidly evolving external spanet. Reach New Frontiers: increase Air Canada’s reach with enriched content and products through local and global agency partners and/or Travel Management Companies (TMCs). Launch NDC in the spanet and increase NDC revenue and adoption. Provide training and support to the travel trade in the NDC rollout. Provide timely spanet intelligence to local sales and Revenue Management in the form of quantitative analyses (pricing and fares competitiveness), and qualitative spanet feedback. Elevate Customer Experience: Conduct regular customer surveys with the travel trade to identify areas for improvement with sales support and the contact centre. Host agency training seminars and regular engagement activities with the entire travel trade. Increase completions of Air Canada’s training program for the travel trade: ACU (Air Canada University) Represent Air Canada in the local trade bodies, including the Agency Program Joint Council (APJC) & Local Customer Advisory Group (LCAG)Key success metrics: agency revenue, agency spanet share, cost of sales, NDC adoption rate, NDC revenue, ACU completions
QualificationsUniversity degree in any discipline (Essential) Consultative sales experience in any industry (Essential) Bilingual –English and Cantonese to native level of fluency, with a high level of proficiency in written English (Essential). High level of autonomy and ability to collaborate with colleagues remotely and virtually (Essential) Willingness to work across different time zones, and to attend meetings during after office hours occasionally (Essential) Willingness to travel regionally and to Canada Effective team player: empathetic and understanding of the needs of other stakeholders and team members. Local expertise with a global perspective: ability to look for Air Canada’s commercial interests as a whole at a global sales level.
